Patricia Ravenhorst – Needs of Domestic And Sexual Violence Victims in South Carolina

Join us in person for our first hybrid meeting of the year. Patricia will speak about the Needs of Domestic And Sexual Violence Victims in South Carolina. She will include an overview of the work of SCCADVASA (South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault), the impact of CV-19 and the importance of supporting survivors from underserved or traditionally marginalized communities.

In January 2018, Patricia Ravenhorst was named General Counsel at SC Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

SCCADVASA is the statewide coalition of organizations providing intervention services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. SCCADVASA also offers Primary Prevention programs to students and communities across the state.

Prior to joining SCCADVASA, Patricia served as the Director and Attorney of the SC Victim Assistance Network’s (SCVAN) Immigrant Victim Program. While there, she established the organization’s specialized legal and supportive services to immigrant survivors of crime and the SC Statewide Immigrant Victim Coalition. The SC Statewide Immigrant Victim Coalition brings together professionals throughout the state working with immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and human trafficking.

She currently serves on the SC Human Trafficking Task Force and the Upstate Human Trafficking Task Force.

Patricia earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Arts in Political Science/Certification in Latin American Studies from Duke University and her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Florida State University. Ms. Ravenhorst is licensed to practice before both federal and state courts in South Carolina and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Association for Victim’s Rights Attorneys.
