Andrea Smith is the Executive Director/CEO of Senior Action, Greenville County’s Council on Aging where she has served for 12 years. Under her direction, the organization has grown from 900 members to close to 5,000 and has expanded from five locations to eight throughout the county.
Ms. Smith holds a Master of Science Degree in Educational Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She has served her 29 year professional career in community research and development, with 19 of those years focused on the senior adult population.
Ms. Smith has served on a variety of community boards and task forces such as: United Way Community Investment Committee, Greenville County Transportation Task Force, Affordable Housing Task Force, Greenville Chorale, and others. She has been a presenter at the National Association of Catholic Hospital Administrators, National Hospital Executives, and TEDx Greenville. She served as the President of the Blue Ridge Institute for Community Service Executives in 2019.
