David Wyman, Ph.D., College of Charleston

Dr. David M. Wyman is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship within the Department of Management and Marketing, and, the Director of the ‘Center for Entrepreneurship’ at the College of Charleston’s School of Business.  The Center for Entrepreneurship provides experiential activities that assist students in developing an entrepreneurial mindset. Its flagship program is Impact X – where interdisciplinary teams create impact startups that “make a profit, while making a difference.”

Prior to joining academia, Dave was an entrepreneur and invented over 50 toys and games.  His most successful product sold over 3 million copies.  He has also taught at Colorado State, University of San Diego and was the Associate Director of the Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Clemson University.  His research interests center on entrepreneurship and real estate and he is active on community and business advisory boards.  Dr. Wyman earned his Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
