Kathryn Smith, Author of The Gatekeeper: Missy LeHand, FDR and the Untold Story of the Partnership that Defined a Presidency Addressed the Club on August 22

Author Kathryn Smith will address the club at the August 22nd meeting.  Kathryn plans to speak in the persona of Missy LeHand, the fascinating woman who served FDR as advisor, confidante and friend for more than 20 years.  LeHand was intimately involved in FDR’s fight to conquer polio.
Kathryn is a long-time member of Rotary and past president of the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson.  She is also a major contributor to PolioPlus, influenced to support this cause due to her admiration of Franklin Roosevelt.
