ROTARY CLUB OF GREENVILLE 2016-2017 CLUB PRESIDENT

On July 12, 2016, Stephanie Lewis will become the 100th President of the Rotary Club of Greenville. Stephanie has served on the Board of Directors since 2013, has been the Chair of several committees, and has traveled to Haiti to visit our Club’s international projects there. In her day job, Stephanie is the Managing Principal of Jackson Lewis’s Greenville, South Carolina office, is a National Coordinator of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, and is a co-chair of the firm’s Pay Equity Resource Group. Jackson Lewis represents management exclusively in workplace law. With 800 attorneys practicing in major locations throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico, Jackson Lewis is included in the AmLaw 100 and Global 100 rankings of law firms.

Ms. Lewis was one of 6 labor and employment lawyers in the State to be recognized as Band 1 by Chambers and Partners in 2016, was selected as one of the top 25 lawyers in the State across all practice areas in 2015 by SuperLawyers, was one of 31 honorees for South Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s 2015 Leadership in Law Awards, is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, and is recognized in Best Lawyers in America and Greenville Business Magazine’s Legal Elite.
In addition to her work with the Rotary Club of Greenville, Ms. Lewis currently serves as the President for the South Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Vice-Chair of the Employment and Labor Section of the South Carolina Bar, is a member of the Upstate Chapter of the Inns of Court, and has served on a number of other non-profit Boards and in Bar positions.

Ms. Lewis graduated from law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with High Honors and was selected for the Order of the Coif.  After law school, she worked for Karen J. Williams of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for Patrick Michael Duffy of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, Charleston Division.
